Meet the Team: Executive Chef Jean-Theo Newman

Please join Le Grand Domaine Enoteca in welcoming Jean-Theo Newman aboard as our new chef!

His education at Capsicum Culinary Studio in Woodstock and repertoire of managerial experience alongside positions as Group Head Chef of Burger & Lobster, Iron Steak, Hacienda Coastal, and Scala Pasta all accumulate into a multi-faceted character that has the sturdy foundations of a winelands upbringing.

Having developed an appreciation for quality wine over the years, Jean is stepping into his role with anticipation to ensure the Enoteca stands out amongst the many wine bars and cellar doors in Stellenbosch.

In honour of our French charm and prestigious showcasing of wines, he is excited to present the new menu as a culmination of food that celebrates the wine and pays homage to coastal French cuisine, so as to guide our patrons on a memorable journey of food and wine pairings.
